Referral offer

How do I get the ii referral 6 months free?

Open a new ii account through a referral link and add or transfer at least £5,000 within a year; ii then charges no monthly account fee for 6 months on Core or Plus. That’s £35.94 saved on Core or £89.94 on Plus (Premium isn’t covered). It works for a Stocks & Shares ISA, SIPP, Trading Account or Managed ISA. Opening by 30 November 2026? ii’s separate £100–£5,000 cashback can apply too, but it needs at least £20,000.

Is there an ii referral code?

No. There’s no ii referral code: ii uses referral links, not codes, so there’s nothing to type in, and it can’t be added afterwards. Open through a referral link and add or transfer £5,000 within a year, and ii waives the monthly account fee for 6 months on Core or Plus. See There is no Interactive Investor referral code, then use our ii referral link when you open the account.

Is there an Interactive Investor promo code or discount code?

No. ii’s current new-customer offers don’t use promo or discount codes. The refer-a-friend offer works through a referral link (six months without the monthly account fee on Core or Plus). Separately, until 30 November 2026, ii offers £100–£5,000 cashback on a new SIPP, ISA or Trading Account (minimum £20,000 across your new accounts), listed at ii.co.uk/special-offers.

How much do I need to add to qualify?

£5,000 in total, by cash deposit or transfer from another provider, added up across your new accounts. It has to complete within a year of opening; money that arrives later doesn’t count. If you open a SIPP, the £5,000 must be paid or transferred into the pension, not another account.

Which accounts and plans qualify?

Stocks & Shares ISA, Managed ISA, Personal Pension (SIPP) and Trading Account, for new ii customers aged 18+ and resident in the UK, in their own name (not company or trust accounts). The fee-free period covers Core and Plus only. Upgrading to Premium ends it, and moving back to Core or Plus doesn’t restart it.

When does the free period start, and what does it cover?

Within 10 working days of meeting the £5,000 condition. It covers the monthly account fee (or SIPP fee) for six months. Dealing charges still apply, and plan trading credits, such as Plus’s monthly free trade, don’t apply during those months.

Does the referral offer have an end date?

ii hasn’t published one. The terms have applied since 1 June 2026, and ii can change or withdraw the offer without notice. We last checked them on .

Does the person who referred me get anything?

Yes. ii pays the referrer a reward for each friend who qualifies, so we may earn a reward if you sign up through our link. That’s how this guide is funded; your offer is the same whichever referral link you use.

What happens when the six months end?

Your normal fee applies: £5.99 a month on Core (up to £100,000) or £14.99 on Plus. ii doesn’t charge to transfer out if you decide to leave.

After 30 November the referral offer continues on its own.

The 1 August–31 October 2026 offer (£100–£3,000 SIPP cashback or £150 of ISA/Trading Account free trades) ended on 31 October 2026, as did the earlier tiered transfer cashback on 30 April 2026. ii’s current offer is £100–£5,000 cashback on a new SIPP, ISA or Trading Account, up to £5,000, until 30 November 2026.

Switching and safety

How do I move my ISA or SIPP to ii?

Open the ii account through the referral link first, then request the transfer from inside ii; ii deals with your old provider. You can usually move cash, funds, ETFs and most listed shares, and ii says ISA transfers typically take up to four weeks for cash and six for investments, and longer if your current provider is slow. ii doesn’t charge to transfer in or out. Before moving a pension, check for exit fees and make sure you won’t lose valuable benefits such as guaranteed annuity rates.

Is Interactive Investor safe?

ii is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Customer investments are held separately from ii’s own assets. If an authorised investment firm like ii fails and can’t return your money or investments, the FSCS may pay up to £85,000 per person, per firm. It doesn’t cover falls in investment value. ii reports £85 billion of assets under administration and over 500,000 customers.
